The Online Video Editor - Fishing is responsible for online video aspects of our fishing enthusiast brands including:
- Create web-ready video content under the direction of the Online Editorial Director - Fishing from existing TV shows
- Create web-ready video content from archival footage.
- Develop new content features under the direction of the Online Editorial Director - Fishing
Reports to: Editorial Director - Fishing
Location: Brainerd, MN
Key Qualifications
- Mastery of video editing process (content conception, editing, web publishing)
- Deep understanding of web-ready video encoding
- Minimum of 3 years experience video editing
- Minimum of 2 years in the fishing
- Experience with industry-standard video editing and compression tools -- FinalCut, Sorensen, etc.
- Breadth of fishing knowledge including: techniques, tactics, and gear
- A high level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong sense of ownership/initiative/personal responsibility; the speed and nature of the work requires taking ownership of assigned projects and completing them on-time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent multitasking abilities necessary to work on several demanding projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree, required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working for an Enthusiast-focused/niche-targeted media company
- Interest/participation in the Outdoors: Hunting, Shooting and/or Fishing
- Video editing background
