Personal: Adam has a history of shooting excellence, and not only in running target: He was the 1989 Arizona state air rifle champion and the 1992 national champion in smallbore silhouette shooting. His father, a hunting guide in Arizona, taught him to shoot when he was 5. Adam remains an avid hunter in addition to liking water sports.
